A nanny has been jailed for up to four years for fatally stomping on a toddler - but the boy's family has blasted the sentence as being too lenient.
Cardell Williamson died after day nursery operator Athena Skeeter threw him onto a hardwood floor and stomped on his stomach during a wrestling match.
Skeeter, 42, threw her own son on top of the 20-month-old child and stepped on both boys three more times at the nursery she ran out of her home.
The fatally injured toddler was then placed into a bathtub that was filled with scalding hot water before being rushed to hospital .

She has already served more than two years behind bars and could leave prison soon, depending on a decision by New York state's parole board.
A court heard how Cardell was killed on August 22, 2014, while he was being cared for by Skeeter, a licensed nursery operator, at her home in Bronx, New York.
She told police the boy was injured as they were play wrestling.
He was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Edward McGowan, defending, told the court that Skeeter was not being sentenced for intentionally killing Cardell, but for a horrific accident that she regrets, DNA Info reported.

Outside court his heartbroken mother Thomasina Cheatham and his father Carlyle Williamson, described how his death has affected the family and robbed them of precious moments.
Mr Williamson, 58, said: "Never got to take him trick-or-treating. Doing a real good birthday where he understands. I missed all that.
“I missed all them Kodak moments.”

  • Shoppers will no longer be able to trial new products in exchange for money off vouchers from 31 March ShareComments ByEmma Munbodh 13:25, 21 MAR 2017Updated14:29, 21 MAR 2017 Money A tesco store Tesco says it's scrapped the deal to open it out to ALL customers instead (Photo: Getty) Share Get money updates directly to your inbox Supermarket giant Tesco is to scrap its Orchard Loyalty Club for thousands of customers, just days after announcing plans to axe free click and collect for shoppers. The scheme, which offers Clubcard members the chance to redeem freebies and rewards in return for reviews of its products, is to close on 31 March, the food chain has revealed. At present, Tesco runs the secret society for as many 20,000 subscribers. However, it says it's closing the scheme to promote a more "national in-store sampling programme" which could benefit all customers. What is the Orchard Loyalty Club? Staff and customers were allowed to take part in the incentive As part of the club, members were invited to trial out and review products, generally food, through their online Orchard account. They would then be incentivised through vouchers to spend in store. The scheme was open to customers and Tesco staff, as long as they were Clubcard members. Tesco then used the data to improve its products and in-store experience. Are you a member of Tesco's Orchard Club? In a statement, Tesco told Mirror Online it has already started its in-store sampling programme, and on average sample over 1,000 products per week across own label and branded products at 600 UK stores. A Tesco spokesperson told The Mirror: "We know the quality of our food is really important to customers, so we want to provide them with more opportunities to taste it and get their feedback in person. "That’s why we’ve taken the decision to close The Orchard at Tesco on the 31 March 2017 in favour of expanding and improving our national in-store sampling programme. "We’ll also continue to reward our customers loyalty through Tesco Clubcard - and there’s lots more exciting activity planned for later this year” Read More Cut your supermarket bill Shopping basket of food Buy the same food for £400 less How I feed my family for £25 a week Odd supermarket 'deals' and 'bargains' Beat supermarket price tricks Supermarket deals supermarket shopping bags How I cut my food bill in half Cheap booze ban The best-value supermarket wine The best ways to find coupons for supermarket shopping Six of the best ways to find coupons Multipack Rip Off in Supermarkets How supermarkets use maths against us More ways to cut costs at Tesco If you're a Tesco regular, the supermarket offers a brand match guarantee that pays you at the checkout if any of your groceries are retailing for cheaper elsewhere.
