Violence has erupted at a rally supporting US President Donald Trump after a counter-protester pepper sprayed the organiser of the event.
Flag-waving Trump supporters immediately tackled the man, who wore a black mask, at the Make America Great Again Rally at Huntington Beach, California, today.
They reportedly started punching and kicking him, according to witnesses.
Videos on social media showed people grab a man in black on the beach, pushing him into the sand as they repeatedly punched him.
As he ran off and jumped over a fenced, the crowd chased him on to the nearby Pacific Coast Highway.
The man was detained by police at the rally, The Los Angeles Times reports.
Hundreds of Trump supporters attended the beach rally.
It was one of 40 similar events across the USA.
Some of those who attended displayed pro-Trump surfboards.
An unknown number of people were arrested.
