The work can be hard, but it pays well
Well, now retired Christopher Zeidschegg, who performed under the name Danny Wylde, earned a good wedge.
In a candid interview with The Independent, Christopher reveals that he made about £3,300 a month after securing a contract. And he only had to work six days a week, which suited him perfectly given that he was also a full-time student.
Christopher says that he started out earning around £245 per scene, but that more than doubled after he became a bit more, erm, experienced.
Christopher explains that he got involved in porn simply because he needed a job while studying. He started off with a bit of nude photography, but when he saw an advert for a porn shoot, thought he'd benefit from a "crazy, one-time experience".
He adds: “I was naive enough, at the time, to believe that the extreme, BDSM nature of the shoot would prevent my family members from stumbling across it."
A decade with porn as a career began. A former girlfriend introduced him to various adult producers and directors in Los Angeles. And he saw great success.
But he also says that the market these days has become a little saturated. With more people doing it, there are fewer opportunities, and pay isn't what it was. Though it's still fruitful for popular acts.
Still, while the pay is good, there are also a lot of potential problems that come with doing porn. They won't surprise you. Think possible sexually transmitted diseases, relationship troubles, and anxiety.
