Lola Pahkinamaki, 24, has spent £5,200 on a boob job to get the perfect Barbie look after fighting back from an eating disorder that saw her weight plunge to five stone, 5lbs
Lola Pahkinamaki, who styles herself as ‘Lola The Fitness Barbie’, was mocked for her looks as a child and began comfort eating sweets.
But the bullying, which was even dished out by members of her own family, eventually had the opposite effect and Lola fell into the grips of anorexia.
Her weight plunged to just five stone, 5lbs - down from a high of 12 stone, 9lbs when she was 12.
At her lowest point, Lola would survive on just an apple every day and would exercise for over four hours at a time.
After a long battle with her eating disorder, Lola is now happy with her weight at eight stone.
She underwent a £5,200 boob job to complete the Barbie look and now teaches others about nutrition.
Lola, from Turku, Finland, explained: “I had always loved Barbie as a child but I never believed it would ever be possible that I would look like one.
“Bullies would actually tease me calling me ‘Barbie’ because they knew I didn’t look like the Barbies I loved.
“So for years, I abused my body and let others make me feel worthless about my appearance.
“But by finally accepting myself and learning that there was more to life than looks, I found happiness and health – and I actually ended up looking like Barbie.
“I don’t really think I looked like her but all the positive comments and comparisons to Barbie mean a lot to me.
“Barbie is like my guardian angel nowadays – she gives me power and the self-confidence that I need. The name Fitness Barbie is part of me now.
“My message to others is don’t try to lose weight or change your body for somebody else. Their opinion is not as important as how you feel in yourself.”
Growing up, Lola was always considered ‘chubby’ and her unstable upbringing with alcoholics for parents led her to gorge on unhealthy food all day.
Lola’s grandfather began cruelly taunting her for being overweight and she was also teased by bullies at school.
Lola - who now has more than 51,000 followers on Instagram – said: “My upbringing was difficult and I didn’t have much family support.
