An estate agent is melting hearts after going over to value a property and making friends with two young girls.
Dan Stevenson, 26, captivated half the country after rolling over to Lorna Hayward's house for a valuation.
Lorna,
26, shared on Instagram a lovely tale about how her two daughters,
Elsie, three, and Marnie, 19 months, became quickly infatuated with the
Irishman.
Lorna, a little mortified, was a little embarrassed after Elise and Marnie thought quite a lot of the estate agent. They asked him to watch Peppa Pig with them and whether he likes cheese.
"In the last hour Dan (who is a complete stranger) has had both my daughters
request cuddles, can he hold their hands, if he would watch Peppa [Pig]
with them, does he like cheese, if he was staying the night, and the
finale – Elsie walking out of the toilet announcing she had just done
'her biggest poo yet – it was a bit spiky though, so please can you wipe
my bum'," wrote Lorna.
"Poor Dan. Poor poor Dan. Gonna just pour meself a pint of wine."
Lorna also shared the story to The Motherload Facebook group, apparently causing it to crash. Soon after, mums across the country launched a desperate bid to #FindDan.
Well,
a quick look on Facebook reveals that Dan is from Dublin, but now lives
in Kent. He works for Purplebricks Estate Agent and is – wait for it –
newly single.
Dan is happy to be a pin-up for his often derided
profession. He wants to change the face of it and show that not every
estate agent is a [insert view here]. He often has to deal with
children, and doesn't mind doing so.
Dan told the Mail :
"I walked in and they were having their dinner, I just started talking
to them about what they were having and the next thing they were asking
me to pick them up. They are just hilarious and I just went with it.
"When
I went round to see Lorna I wasn’t really expecting anything but the
kids were amazing. I walked in and they were having their dinner, I just
started talking to them about what they were having and the next thing
they were asking me to pick them up. They are just hilarious and I just
went with it.
"I’m pretty good with kids because I lived with my little cousins when I first came over from Ireland and I pride myself on giving the best possible customer service.
"I can understand why some people don’t like estate agents, there’s no smoke without fire, but there are so many good ones now. We’re taking over."
Since Lorna's social media posts did the rounds, Dan has been inundated with interest. Lorna, a mum and blogger from Wandsworth, London, said she called Dan after his visit to let him know of his fame.
